Throughout my career as a graphic artist and architect I have looked for and thought to show the beauty in my surroundings. The results have been varied and have included posters for theatrical productions, costumes, illustrations for publications, tourist leaflets and even wine labels. Having met my future wife (painting together in Venice in 1993), I followed her to Cambridge. Based here since 1994, I have the privilege of having the magnificent architecture of the University on my doorstep - a wonderful inspiration for many artistic projects. I have exhibited in Cambridge as a member of "Open Studios" for a number of years, building and establishing new contacts and clients. My exhibition of “Impressions of Cambridge” shown particular views and details. In the RECENT years I have started a long term collaboration with Queens' College producing a calendar and cards, greeting cards and prints. As a member of the Society of Architect Artists, I have contributed to a number of London exhibitions and have become better acquainted with London and its beauty. My London exhibitions include: ' Venice Impressions'(2004),'London's atmosphere' (2005), 'Routemaster 38' (2006). My last project ”Time at Cambridge” celebrates Cambridge College Sundials. Watercolour classes at Selwyn College, run for charity, have given me an opportunity to transmit my passion to many people of all ages. 2009 saw my comparative “Cambridge-Venice” exhibition in Venice. My works are on permanent display in Gallery 19, South Kensington, London. Prints are on sale at Queens' College Shop and the Fitzwilliam Museum.

The art work of Adrian Tuchel is the result of many years of gifted artistry combined with architectural accomplishment, fuelled by his great passion for travel. Through his research into minimalism in drawing, his highly personal style has materialised, observing particularly transparency & light.
Both his pen & ink drawings and his watercolours represent well-loved cities and views, often in unusual dream-like angles - discovered & rediscovered places, seen through his eye, reducing the view to its very essence.
